What happened on Nov. 7th?

No one knows...the police have STILL not said a word about the accident in almost 2 months.

People have gone on about their business and forgotten about this horrible accident, meanwhile nothing will change on Sycamore Valley Road. Drivers are still driving dangerously on Sycamore Valley... talking on cell phones, speeding, red light running.

Apparently the Danville police can't be bothered with something as insignificant as a lawless stretch of road where a few people are killed every year or so. Too busy "patrolling" the other mean streets of Danville.

What is the condition of the driver of the car (John Peder Harris) that crashed into and KILLED two people?

What caused the accident?

Why are the police silent on this?

Where's the Investigation?

It has been over a month since this horrible accident and STILL not a peep from the Danville Police Department on what caused the accident, who was driving the car that smashed into and killed a mother and daughter on November 7, 2011.

What the hell is going on here? I'm starting to think the police don't want people asking questions about this...

Well, the people of Danville deserve to know what happened and what actions will be taken to protect people travelling on Sycamore Valley Road.

The police still do not want to release the name of the driver? This is strange.

Tragedy on Sycamore Valley Road

Hat Tip: Danville Patch

"The victims of a fatal car crash [the afternoon of Monday, November 7th, 2011] have been identified as Elham Pirdavari, 51, the driver of the vehicle that was struck, and passenger Mahindokht Dowlati, 72. Both were residents of Danville.

Pirdavari was pronounced dead at the scene at Sycamore Valley Road and Brookside Drive by San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District emergency personnel.
Dowlati was taken to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek, where she was pronounced dead from her injuries.

The two were mother and daughter."

Cause of the Accident Unknown

As of today, the cause of this terrible accident is unknown. Danville police have offered no further information other than the obligatory "we're investigating". Meanwhile, the people of Danville who travel this road are becoming increasingly concerned for their safety.
The status of the driver of the red Toyota pickup truck, a Walnut Creek man named John Peder Harris, is also unknown as well as his role in the accident. Presumably, the investigation will determine whether he violated traffic laws and caused the crash that killed two people. His name was originally disclosed in news reports, but later removed at the request of Danville police.

As a resident of Danville and driver of Sycamore Valley Road, I witness on a daily basis the flagrant violation of traffic laws (speeding, slow driving, cell phone talking, running red lights) and I have had enough! I urge those who share my concerns to help me press our town officials to TAKE ACTION to enforce traffic laws on this road before someone else's loved one dies. I don't know how our town government works, but there has to be a public forum for safety concerns where we can make the people in charge of public safety accountable.

Maybe we can start by contacting Danville Public Officials and demanding some action:
